SAFE. EFFECTIVE. RELIABLE.

POWER SYSTEMS ENGINEERED, INSPECTED & TESTED BY DOV UNITED

MEDIUM & LOW VOLTAGE POWER DISTRIBUTION

  • Switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, transformers, unit substations, motor control centers and more. We’ve inspected and designed facilities with all of this equipment. We maintain relationships with the manufacturers & distributors to get accurate costs & lead times.

  • Conduit, cable trays, cable trench, wireways, manholes, pull boxes, junction boxes, termination cabinets and more. We specify these these products, the materials and their support systems. We maintain a comprehensive library of details and develop custom details for projects.

  • Overcurrent protection, feeder protective relays, lightning arrestors and proper grounding systems. These will protect your power system and people from catastrophic failures. We have the experience and knowledge on how to model, design and test these systems to ensure proper protection when it matters most.

EMERGENCY STANDBY POWER

    • Medium voltage and low voltage generators up to 4000kW

    • Paralleling multiple gensets with onboard or standalone controls

    • Soundproof enclosures with custom-designed access platforms

    • Extended fuel storage tanks designed for fire marshal compliance and equipped with precision fuel monitoring

    • Load shedding and load bank testing

    • Tier 2, 3 and 4 emission compliance

    • Switches automatically detect loss of primary power and transfer to backup source

    • Manual switches or docking stations with quick-connect receptacles for portable generator hookup

    • PLC based transfer controls within switchgear and switchboards

MOTOR CONTROL AND PROTECTION

  • Where precision speed control, minimal inrush current and advanced motor protection is needed. Make sure appropriate harmonic mitigation is included to prevent damage to the rest of your equipment and meet IEEE 519

  • Reduced voltage soft starters where constant speed is acceptable, but inrush current needs managed to meet utility standards or extend motor life. Across-the-line (full voltage) motor starters where high inrush and constant speed is acceptable.

  • Implement RTDs to detect excessive thermal conditions within motors and pump bearings. Include motor mounted accelerometers for vibration monitoring to detect mechanical abnormalities around the motor and identify issues before they cause a major failure.

  • Precisely control how your motors start, stop and operate with hardwired control relays or develop PLC based controllers. Network your motor controllers to a SCADA system to allow remote and/or automatic operation of your motors.
